About Us

P. N. Risser, Jr. became a distributor of petroleum products in parts of Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia in the 1930’s.  Mr. Risser and his family soon joined his parents as winter visitors in St. Petersburg each winter.   One winter in St. Petersburg  Mr. Risser decided to purchase a small Texaco distributorship in Pinellas County.  In 1964 he was joined by his son, P. N. “Bud” Risser.  They grew the St. Petersburg business and began acquiring Shell distributorships in North Florida in the 1970s.  Bud eventually acquired the Texaco business from his father, “Pete” Risser moved to Lake City to focus on that business until his death decades later.

Over the past five decades, Risser Oil and its affiliate companies have continued to grow and prosper by maintaining a focus on client satisfaction and professionalism while maintaining high environmental standards. By consistently focusing on setting and achieving new goals, Risser Oil expanded to West-Central Florida and encompasses Rally Stores, Mobil, Exxon, Shell and BP Amoco petroleum products.

With a strong belief in growing people and assets from within by providing a positive work environment consistent with the highest standards of ethics, integrity and professionalism, the company continues to thrive. The result of such principles are a team of directed and conscientious employees that truly enjoy working within Risser, creating an exciting future for the company.
